I offer regular parent consultations as part of my work with children’s therapy, but I also provide them independently if you have concerns about your child and would like guidance or a fresh perspective. I’ve been working closely with parents for many years and offer a friendly, approachable service aimed at supporting you through challenges.

Parenting today presents unique challenges that differ greatly from those faced by previous generations. However, children still have many of the same fundamental needs—nurture, love, boundaries, time to learn, and time to play and relax. The world children are growing up in is changing quickly. They are spending more time away from their parents in childcare from an earlier age, have fewer opportunities for self-led outdoor play, and are spending increasing amounts of time on screens.

For older children and young people, there are additional pressures, such as the demand from schools to achieve and plan for their post-school futures. This can lead to anxiety, especially as they are constantly bombarded with distressing news and images that can make them fearful for their future. These pressures and changes can cause stress and worry for both children and parents alike. If you’re a parent who could benefit from a supportive space to talk through your concerns about your child’s well-being or behaviour, I invite you to get in touch to arrange a session. Together, we can explore what might be going on for your child and consider developmentally appropriate ways to help you both manage better.
