I have extensive experience and post-qualifying training in working therapeutically with children, both in private practice and within school settings. Over the course of nine years, I managed counselling projects in primary schools, supporting children through various challenges.

For children under 12, I use a person-centred, play-based therapy model. This approach allows children to process difficult emotions and experiences through play, art, and metaphor—tools that are natural and effective for them. Play is the child’s primary language, and through it, they can express themselves in ways they cannot articulate with words.
The therapeutic relationship I offer is rooted in safety, consistency, and unconditional acceptance.
In a space that is built on empathy and understanding, children can explore their emotions and experiences freely.

The sessions are non-directive, meaning they are led by the child, allowing them to set the pace and focus on what feels most important to them. This play-based therapy model is developmentally appropriate and particularly effective for children facing social, emotional, behavioural, and relational challenges.
Please note
Telephone and online video counselling are not available for children under sixteen. Parental consent is required for all children and young people under the age of 16 to participate in therapy.
